Security Engineer
Job Summary
To enhance cloud security and streamline compliance, the full-time remote Security Engineer will collaborate with DevSecOps engineers to automate CI/CD pipelines, manage the POAM process, and conduct security impact analyses while engaging with stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Deploy and automate CI/CD pipelines and establish Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using DevSecOps techniques
- Own the POAM process, developing plans, tracking progress, and proactively closing findings
- Conduct Security Impact Analyses (SIAs) to achieve and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) status
Required qualifications
- Hands-on experience with remediating POAMs and navigating the federal ATO process
- Proficiency in AWS environments and cloud security practices
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation
- Familiarity with Zero Trust principles and federal cybersecurity frameworks such as FISMA and NIST 800-53
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
