Security Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance security measures, the full-time remote Security Engineer will build and automate technical controls, manage vulnerability and patch management, and secure containerized workloads across the organization's infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and maintain security controls across bare-metal and AWS environments, including access management and vulnerability management
• Own configuration management and host hardening as code using Ansible to ensure reproducibility and detect drift
• Manage the penetration testing lifecycle, including scoping, scheduling, and verifying fixes from findings

Required qualifications

• Solid experience in security engineering or infrastructure engineering with a focus on production controls
• Deep knowledge of Linux, including hardening and debugging physical Linux hosts
• Proficiency in Ansible at fleet scale and strong scripting skills in Python and/or Go
• Experience securing Docker containers and managing GitHub Actions
• Hands-on involvement in formal audits such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, or SOC 2
