Security Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing cybersecurity team, the full-time remote Security Engineer will manage vulnerability assessments, track remediation efforts, and evaluate risks while collaborating with application and system owners to enhance security measures.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct application vulnerability assessments and administer vulnerability scanning infrastructure
• Manage security vulnerabilities and risks, supporting application/system owners in remediation efforts
• Implement and maintain security automation across the Threat and Vulnerability Management space

Required qualifications

• A degree or industry-recognized certification in intelligence or cybersecurity, or equivalent experience
• Three years of work experience in IT and two years in Cybersecurity and/or Application Security
• Ability to perform and manage network vulnerability testing and threat assessments
• Understanding of Cloud Infrastructure and Cloud Security
• Knowledge of best practices and compliance standards such as OWASP Top 10 and NIST
