Security Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting the triage, investigation, and remediation of security incidents, the full-time remote Security Engineer will manage security tools, respond to alerts, and collaborate with teams to enhance enterprise-wide information security initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to alerts from security tooling including SIEM, EDR, and email security
• Independently conduct medium severity security investigations from detection to resolution
• Document findings and communicate incident status and risk to various teams effectively

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in incident response and security operations center operations
• 2+ years of experience creating incident response playbooks and runbooks
• 1+ years of experience in a regulated IT environment involving SOC2, SOX, HIPAA, or similar frameworks
• 5 years of experience in information technology or a related field within the last 10 years
