Security Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing security program, the full-time Security Engineer will manage application security, cloud infrastructure, and incident response while working remotely from Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Lead security engineering for applications, including code reviews and threat modeling
• Collaborate with the Platform team to secure AWS environments and automate security baselines
• Manage security incident response, including triage, investigation, and communication

Required qualifications

• 7+ years in engineering with 5+ years of hands-on security experience
• Strong knowledge of Python/Django application security and AWS cloud security
• Practical incident response experience, including leading incidents
• Working knowledge of SOC2 or a comparable compliance framework
• Ability to communicate risk to both technical and non-technical audiences
