Job Summary
To enhance cloud security, the full-time remote Security Engineer will manage security operations, vulnerability management, incident response, and application security while collaborating with Systems Operations, DevOps, and Engineering teams.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and investigate security alerts across various platforms, participating in incident response and containment actions
- Oversee the vulnerability management lifecycle, coordinating remediation efforts and managing findings from multiple security assessments
- Administer security platforms and automate security tasks using scripting and integrations
Required qualifications
- 3-6 years of experience in Security Engineering, Security Operations, or Cloud Security
- Hands-on experience with endpoint detection and response (EDR) platforms and managed detection and response (MDR) providers
- Experience operating or tuning a SIEM and managing vulnerabilities from discovery to closure
- Practical AWS security experience, including IAM and cloud configuration review
- Proficiency with Python, Bash, or similar technologies for automation and reporting
