Job Summary
To run day-to-day security operations, the full-time Security Engineer will find and fix vulnerabilities across the Google Cloud Platform environment and Python/Django applications while managing tools and controls that protect devices, networks, and accounts in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Scan and monitor the GCP environment and self-hosted services for vulnerabilities, prioritizing by risk and tracking issues to resolution
- Resolve vulnerabilities directly and collaborate with engineering for larger fixes
- Maintain security logging and monitoring, support incident investigations, and manage endpoint security across company devices
Required qualifications
- 2+ years in security, cloud, systems administration, DevOps, or software engineering
- Proficiency in Python and experience working in a production codebase
- Strong Linux fundamentals, including patching and maintaining production systems
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform or another major cloud provider
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning, EDR, MDM, logging and monitoring, and network security
