Security Engineer II

Job Summary

Focused on securing cloud and infrastructure environments, the full-time remote Security Engineer II will perform real-time monitoring, analysis of security events, and administration of security tools across various domains including Endpoint Security, Data Security, and Vulnerability Assessment.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct IAM and access-control reviews across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including audits of roles and permissions
• Triage and respond to security incidents, performing investigations and coordinating remediation efforts
• Monitor security events using SIEM and other technologies, and support the administration of security tools

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Infrastructure Security, Cloud Security, or as a Security Engineer
• Experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP, particularly in securing government cloud environments
• Strong understanding of IAM, cloud security controls, and vulnerability management
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and scripting or automation experience is a plus
