Security Engineering Lead

Job Summary

Leading a team of engineers, the full-time Security Engineering Lead will establish a robust product security engineering capability, manage a risk-based security roadmap, and ensure effective incident response, all while working in a hybrid or remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead a risk-based product security roadmap across various product areas, balancing prevention, detection, and remediation
• Own the product-security intake and triage model for external reports and coordinate cross-product security work
• Coach and develop engineers while maintaining visibility of the team's work in product planning

Required qualifications

• Strong hands-on software engineering experience with a focus on improving the security of production products
• Practical application-security knowledge, including authentication, API security, and common vulnerability classes
• Experience in investigating vulnerability reports and developing prioritized remediation plans
• Ability to work directly in code and utilize security tooling such as SAST and dependency scanning
• Experience mentoring engineers or leading a small technical team, with a focus on technical leadership and coaching
