Security Operations Analyst

Job Summary

Supporting West Coast business hours, the long-term contract Security Operations Analyst will manage day-to-day security operations, monitor incidents, and collaborate with technical teams in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support day-to-day security operations, monitoring, and incident response activities across enterprise environments
• Investigate security alerts, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activity while assisting with remediation efforts
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and systems teams to improve overall security posture

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, networking, cybersecurity, or a related field
• Strong foundational knowledge of networking, servers, virtualization, and information security principles
• Experience in a security-focused role or demonstrated security mindset with the ability to grow into an expanded security operations function
• Hands-on experience with security monitoring platforms, vulnerability management tools, and security investigations
• Understanding of Windows and Linux environments, Active Directory, and cloud technologies
