Security Operations Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a Staff Security Operations Engineer to work remotely, who will implement and evolve security standards, analyze security architecture, and drive threat modeling initiatives while contributing to the broader open source security ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and evolve Canonical's SecOps security standards and playbooks
• Analyze and improve Canonical's security architecture
• Identify, contain, and guide the remediation of security threats and cyber attacks

Required qualifications

• Exceptional academic track record with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM
• Deep personal motivation to be at the forefront of technology security
• Expertise in threat modeling and risk management frameworks
• Knowledge of security architecture and market-leading security tools
• Experience with security risk management frameworks such as NIST CSF
