Job Summary
Owning security problems end-to-end, the full-time remote Senior/Staff Software Engineer (Security) will build secure-by-default libraries and tooling, implement least-privilege guardrails, and partner with compliance to enhance security measures in a fast-paced virtual care environment.
Key responsibilities
- Navigate ambiguity to identify and build direct security controls that mitigate risks
- Develop secure libraries and guardrails to enable efficient engineering workflows
- Collaborate with compliance teams to translate control objectives into actionable security measures
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with production-grade code (Kotlin, Java, Python, Go, C# or similar)
- Strong background in security concepts including threat modeling and OWASP Top 10
- Experience with cloud security and supply-chain security practices
- Proven track record of closing risks and enhancing organizational safety
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and HITRUST is a plus
