Security Specialist
Job Summary
To protect client systems and data, the full-time Security Specialist will assess risks, implement security controls, and ensure compliance with federal security requirements while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor security controls for systems and applications
- Perform vulnerability scans and track remediation of findings
- Support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities under the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of information security experience
- Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, and the Risk Management Framework
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Tenable Nessus or Qualys
- Security certification such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CISM
