Security Specialist with Secret Clearance

Job Summary

Supporting the Optum FSO team, the remote Security Specialist with Secret Clearance will manage Federal Background Investigations, review SF-85 submissions for accuracy, and assist with security documentation and compliance tasks.

Key responsibilities:

• Track submissions, approvals, and deadlines using Smartsheet
• Interface with Optum stakeholders and Government staff to support personnel security requirements
• Assist with audits, government reporting, and credential management as needed

Required qualifications:

• HS diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3+ years of experience
• Secret clearance is required
• Experience reviewing SF-85 submissions and understanding background investigation processes
• Knowledge of SEAD 3 reporting requirements and Federal Investigative Standards (FIS)
• Experience with DISS, NBIS, and eApp systems
