Security Vice President

Job Summary

To lead the security initiatives at an AI-native company, the full-time salaried Security Vice President will manage AI security functions, oversee security engineering and operations, and ensure enterprise trust while collaborating with executive leadership and preparing for future funding.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including building an internal AI gateway and implementing security measures for consumer-facing AI surfaces
• Direct security engineering efforts across AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec, ensuring secure design and automated response playbooks are in place
• Oversee enterprise trust initiatives, managing security narratives for fundraising and customer reviews while maintaining compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with at least 5 years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth or major fundraising
• Strong technical expertise in AI security, cloud-native security, and modern AppSec tooling
• Proven ability to build new security functions from the ground up, not just operate existing ones
• Experience managing corporate IT functions, including identity platforms and SaaS governance
• Executive presence with the ability to effectively communicate with boards and enterprise customers
