Security VP

Job Summary

Leading the charge in AI security, the full-time salaried VP of Security will own the end-to-end security strategy, engineering, and operations at Engine, ensuring robust defenses against emerging threats while managing a team focused on AppSec, SecOps, and CloudSec.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the AI security function, including the development of an internal AI gateway with stringent access controls and monitoring
• Oversee security engineering efforts, driving initiatives related to secure application architecture, automated response playbooks, and identity management
• Manage enterprise trust and readiness for funding, ensuring compliance with SOC 2 and PCI standards while enhancing the security narrative for customer engagements

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security, with 5+ years in leadership roles during periods of hypergrowth or major fundraising
• Strong technical expertise in AI security, cloud-native security, and modern application security practices
• Proven ability to build and lead new security functions from the ground up
• Experience with corporate IT management, including identity platforms and SaaS governance
• Demonstrated executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with boards and enterprise customers
