Senior 3D Motion Designer
Job Summary
Leading motion design initiatives, the full-time Staff Motion Designer - 3D will create and oversee major product launches and brand moments, utilizing advanced 3D capabilities and AI-assisted workflows, while working remotely or from various locations in the U.S. and Canada.
Key responsibilities
- Lead motion concepts for major product launches and campaigns, focusing on 3D visualization and brand storytelling
- Define and build Mercury's motion design system, establishing principles for typography, pacing, and interaction
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Writing, and Production teams to deliver high-quality visual narratives
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of professional experience in motion design with a strong portfolio demonstrating mastery in 3D and 2D
- Advanced proficiency in Cinema 4D, Houdini, Blender, and After Effects or similar tools
- Experience in building and documenting motion systems or brand guidelines
- Track record of mentoring and art-directing designers and animators
- Genuine fluency with AI tooling and exposure to scripting or procedural workflows is a plus
