Senior Accessibility Specialist
Job Summary
To support accessible digital experiences across federal modernization initiatives, the full-time Senior Accessibility Specialist will integrate accessibility into the product lifecycle, conduct evaluations using assistive technologies, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Integrate accessibility into discovery, design, development, testing, and production activities
- Conduct manual and automated accessibility evaluations using assistive technologies and testing tools
- Identify accessibility risks and provide clear, actionable remediation recommendations
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience in digital accessibility, Section 508 compliance, or a related discipline
- Strong knowledge of Section 508, WCAG 2.2, ARIA, and accessible user experience principles
- Experience evaluating complex web applications or enterprise systems
- Proficiency with tools such as Axe DevTools, ANDI, JAWS, and NVDA
- Experience working in Agile development environments
