Senior Accountant
Job Summary
To support the financial integrity of a growing organization, the full-time Senior Accountant will manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, oversee compliance for sales tax and VAT, and prepare financial statements while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Manage sales tax and VAT compliance, partnering with advisors for accurate registration and filing
- Prepare audit schedules and support annual financial statement audits and internal control documentation
Required qualifications:
- 3+ years in an accounting role with experience in filing sales tax returns
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or Master's in Accounting/Finance is a plus
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with account reconciliations and journal entries
- Experience with Oracle/NetSuite, Avalara, and advanced Excel skills
- Familiarity with AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT for streamlining accounting tasks
