Senior Accountant
Job Summary
To support a growing Accounting team, the remote Senior Accountant will manage key areas of the monthly and quarterly close, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting across multiple legal entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Own components of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Leverage modern finance tools and AI-based solutions to enhance efficiency and reporting insights
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the insurance industry
- Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting, specializing in premium recognition, claims, and reserves
- Familiarity with accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Workday experience is a plus
- Experience using AI tools to improve or automate financial processes
