Senior Accountant

Job Summary

To support a diverse client portfolio, the full-time remote Senior Accountant will manage complex accounting activities, oversee month-end close processes, and provide technical guidance to Staff Accountants and Bookkeepers.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary escalation point for client accounting questions and complex transactions, ensuring client satisfaction and effective communication
• Execute and review complex accounting tasks, including financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Coach and support Staff Accountants and Bookkeepers, providing feedback and technical guidance to enhance accuracy and efficiency in accounting practices

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 4-8 years of accounting experience, preferably in client-service or outsourced environments
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end close processes
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and related applications
• Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively in a remote setting
