Senior Accountant

Job Summary

Owning the transactional layer of the accounting function, the full-time Senior Accountant will manage spend, payables, receivables, and reconciliations in a remote environment, ensuring data accuracy and building scalable processes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee spend management, including card administration, transaction coding, and compliance with expense policies
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments and cash applications
• Lead monthly close activities and reconciliations, preparing audit-ready documentation and improving accounting workflows

Required qualifications

• 3 to 6 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least two years in a venture-backed or fast-paced startup
• Hands-on experience with accounts payable, reconciliations, and month-end close tasks
• Proficiency with modern spend management tools and cloud-based general ledgers
• Strong skills in Excel or Google Sheets, particularly in lookups and reconciliation workbooks
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
