Job Summary
To support a growing digital insurance solution, the fully remote Senior Accountant will manage monthly reporting, journal entry preparation, and account reconciliations while contributing to financial analysis and process improvements.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee accounts payable administration and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures
- Prepare and maintain accurate monthly financial reports and statements for management review
- Participate in ad-hoc projects, including system implementations and financial analysis
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the insurance industry
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); knowledge of statutory accounting principles (SAP) is a plus
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
- Experience with NetSuite or Tipalti is a plus; CPA or CPA candidate is preferred but not required
