Senior Accountant - CPA Required
Job Summary
Supporting operational accounting needs, the full-time Senior Accountant - CPA Required will manage month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting in a remote capacity while collaborating closely with the CFO and Accounting Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Reviews and performs reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and supports the month-end close process
- Prepares project financial status reports and assists in developing accounting policies and procedures
- Identifies and resolves accounting issues while maintaining supporting documentation
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4+ years of accounting experience, particularly in a government contracting environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and FAR
- Experience with government contract accounting systems such as Unanet or Deltek
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
