Senior Accountant with Automation Expertise
Job Summary
To support a growing finance function, the full-time Senior Accountant with Automation Expertise will manage critical accounting responsibilities while focusing on automation and process redesign to enhance efficiency and scalability in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Own significant parts of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Develop and implement an accounting automation roadmap to identify and prioritize opportunities for efficiency gains
- Partner cross-functionally to improve financial processes and support compliance with sales tax and VAT regulations
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of accounting experience with a strong background in preparing reconciliations and supporting the monthly close
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA and/or Master's in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Proficiency in US GAAP and experience with sales tax compliance
- Hands-on experience with automation tools and advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and Power Query
- Experience in a SaaS company and familiarity with Oracle/NetSuite and Avalara is a plus
