Senior Accounting Manager

Job Summary

Managing accounting operations in a fully remote capacity, the full-time Senior Accounting Manager will oversee the financial close process, ensure general ledger integrity, and provide leadership to the accounting team while collaborating closely with the Controller on financial reporting and compliance initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the month-end and year-end financial close process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
• Prepare and review complex financial reports and analyses, communicating findings to the Controller
• Evaluate and enhance accounting processes and internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and compliance

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including nonprofit accounting preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience within an accounting environment
• Strong proficiency with accounting systems, preferably Sage Intacct, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles, including internal controls and audit compliance
