Senior AI Data Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the transformation of analytics and reporting through AI, the full-time Senior AI Data Engineer will own strategy, tool selection, and data architecture while working remotely to enhance data insights and support analytics engineers.
Key responsibilities
- Set the strategy for AI's integration into analytics and reporting, including tool selection and governance
- Collaborate with analytics engineers to refine dbt + Snowflake models for reporting and AI consumption
- Mentor and guide the analytics team in AI-assisted analytics, ensuring effective communication and adoption of new practices
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in data platforms, ML platforms, or developer tooling, with a focus on AI/ML systems
- Production experience in architecting LLM systems and understanding their failure modes
- Strong expertise in dbt and cloud data warehousing, preferably Snowflake
- Proven ability to drive consensus on technical direction across teams
- Experience in external communication, such as blog posts or talks, related to AI and analytics
