Job Summary
To support a leading insurance client, the contract-to-hire Senior Applied AI & Data Scientist will design, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions remotely, focusing on advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative AI to drive business outcomes across various sectors.
Key responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of AI solutions from problem framing to production deployment and measurement
- Design and deliver LLM-enabled analytics and Deep Research capabilities using RAG over enterprise data
- Develop and deploy advanced statistical and machine learning models to support decision-making in insurance and investments
Required qualifications
- Strong Python and SQL skills; experience with ML libraries such as scikit-learn and TensorFlow
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake and relational databases like PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of vector search/embeddings and familiarity with vector databases
- Experience in collaborating with engineering on production services and CI/CD processes
- Ability to define and run robust evaluations for models and translate outcomes into business KPIs
