Senior AI Developer

Job Summary

To enhance the research mission of the university, the full-time Senior AI Developer will design, develop, and maintain customized artificial intelligence solutions, leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and maintain custom LLM models for secure access by the research community
• Build and optimize RAG pipelines to process university-specific research administration data securely
• Manage and scale vector databases to enable high-speed semantic search across relevant documents

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of software development experience, including 1 year with LLM APIs
• Advanced proficiency in Python and experience with data manipulation libraries
• Demonstrated experience with RAG architectures and orchestration tools
• Experience with at least one Vector Database (e.g., Chroma, Qdrant)
