Senior AI Developer
Job Summary
To enhance the research mission of the university, the full-time Senior AI Developer will design, develop, and maintain customized artificial intelligence solutions, utilizing Large Language Models and Retrieval-Augmented Generation while working fully remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and maintain custom LLM models for secure access by the research community
- Build and optimize RAG pipelines to process university-specific research data without public exposure
- Manage and scale vector databases for efficient semantic search across research administration documents
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of software development experience, including 1 year with LLM APIs
- Advanced proficiency in Python and experience with data manipulation libraries
- Demonstrated experience with RAG architectures and vector databases
- Ability to communicate complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders
