Senior AI Developer

Job Summary

To enhance the research mission of the university, the full-time salaried Senior AI Developer will design, develop, and maintain customized artificial intelligence solutions, leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and maintain LLM models for secure access by the research community
• Build and optimize RAG pipelines for processing university-specific research data
• Manage and scale vector databases to ensure efficient semantic search capabilities

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of software development experience, including 1 year with LLM APIs
• Advanced proficiency in Python and experience with data manipulation libraries
• Demonstrated experience with RAG architectures and vector databases
• Ability to translate complex AI concepts for non-technical stakeholders
