Senior AI Engineer
Job Summary
Owning the technical design and delivery of multi-component AI systems, the full-time Senior AI Engineer will define product functionalities, build evaluation systems, and manage data pipelines while collaborating across teams in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Define product functionalities and establish measurement frameworks for evaluation of AI systems
- Run continuous evaluations of APIs, SDKs, and data representations, recommending fixes and ensuring quality
- Build and maintain data pipelines, including ingestion, entity resolution, and quality checks
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline and 5+ years of software engineering experience with production ownership of services or pipelines
- 2+ years of experience shipping LLM-backed features in systems with error budgets and on-call rotations
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with distributed processing frameworks
- Strong programming skills in Python or TypeScript, with the ability to read code in various languages
- Direct experience in designing evaluations for non-deterministic systems
