Senior AI Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the end-to-end AI engine for an innovative voice drive-thru product, the full-time Senior Applied AI Engineer will design and improve conversational agent logic, tackle complex challenges in AI interactions, and enhance evaluation infrastructure while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design and iterate on conversational and order-taking agent logic across multiple restaurant brands
• Own complex challenges such as turn-taking, background noise removal, and managing side conversations
• Build and extend evaluation infrastructure to ensure agent performance aligns with evolving brand and menu data

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with hands-on training of ML models and productionizing them at scale
• Strong Python skills and experience working in backend codebases
• Experience designing evaluation systems for non-deterministic outputs
• Proven ability to convert ambiguous quality problems into measurable metrics and actionable solutions
• Strong judgment on generalizing versus specializing agent behavior, with effective communication skills
