Job Summary
Owning the development of AI agents from prototype to production, the full-time Senior AI Engineer will design and build LLM-powered workflows and evaluations for the auto casualty business, working remotely or in Chicago.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build LLM-powered agents and workflows, including orchestration and human-in-the-loop review
- Build evaluations with data labelers and subject matter experts, running them on every change
- Ensure agents are production-grade by implementing guardrails, observability, and careful handling of sensitive health data
Required Qualifications:
- Typically 5+ years of professional software or ML engineering experience, with recent work involving LLMs
- Strong production engineering skills in Python and experience with API services and TypeScript
- At least one year of experience shipping LLM-powered products to real users, including retrieval and prompt engineering
- Experience designing evaluations for non-deterministic systems and a habit of measuring results before and after changes
- A quantitative mindset with comfort in metrics, sampling, and error analysis
