Senior AI/ML Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance the search and recommendation capabilities of the platform, the full-time Senior AI/ML Engineer will build and operate ranking and search systems, focusing on real information retrieval and applied machine learning in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and operate search infrastructure, including Elasticsearch/OpenSearch and vector-search databases, to power ranking and multi-modal search
• Design and improve Contextual Search and conversational assistant features, ensuring graceful handling of zero-result scenarios
• Own the full lifecycle of ranking and recommendation models, including features, training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring

Required Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in information retrieval infrastructure and building real search systems (e.g., Elasticsearch/OpenSearch)
• Proven applied machine learning experience for ranking and recommendations, with hands-on ownership of model lifecycle
• Experience with NLP and LLM applications, including prompt design and retrieval-augmented approaches
• Expertise in low-latency serving and real-time model-serving systems under production load
• Strong evaluation skills for search and ranking quality, including offline ranking metrics and experimentation
