Senior AI/ML Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the AI that assesses patients for US healthcare providers, the full-time remote Senior AI/ML Engineer will enhance conversational AI for clinical assessments, improve safety checks, and productionize ML models to optimize patient care efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the quality of conversational AI for patient assessments, ensuring accurate clinical predictions and treatment recommendations
• Enhance safety checks to effectively screen patient messages and AI responses, minimizing risk while maintaining response quality
• Develop and maintain evaluation harnesses and simulated patient conversations for testing configurations before patient interaction

Required qualifications

• PhD in computational science or an AI-related field with 2 years of ML engineering experience, or a BSc/MSc with 4 years of ML engineering experience
• Expertise in productizing LLM features and eval-driven development
• Proficient in Python and TypeScript/JavaScript, with experience building LLM agent harnesses
• Strong architectural skills in designing scalable, production-grade machine learning systems
• Experience with major cloud platforms and containerization technologies
