Job Summary
To support a critical federal modernization initiative, the remote Senior AI Technical Lead will lead AI projects, develop data solutions, and integrate systems within a Microsoft Azure ecosystem while actively writing Python code and optimizing SQL databases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead AI initiatives from conception to deployment, serving as the primary technical point of contact for the DOI customer
- Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and database schemas
- Architect data environments within the Microsoft Azure cloud platform and connect data backends with Power Apps and Power Automate workflows
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8-10 years in data development, software engineering, or data engineering, with at least 3 years leading technical AI/ML projects
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Expert-level Python programming skills focused on data manipulation and AI frameworks
- Strong background as a Database Engineer with advanced SQL proficiency
- Hands-on experience developing within Microsoft Azure (Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, or Azure OpenAI services)
