Job Summary
Experienced in airworthiness and certification, the full-time Senior Airworthiness Engineer will lead compliance activities, interface with regulatory authorities, and mentor junior engineers, with the option to work hybrid from Boston or remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Execute the certification strategy and technical approach for major programs or product lines
- Lead certification documentation and compliance activities for complex technical areas, including structures and avionics
- Interface directly with regulatory representatives and manage certification program schedules to ensure timely approvals
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 6-9 years of aerospace certification experience with direct interface to airworthiness or certification authorities
- Hands-on experience in military airworthiness or civil certification programs from development through closure
- Working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 21, 23, 25, and military airworthiness standards (MIL-SPECs, MIL-STDs)
- U.S. citizenship with an active Secret clearance or a clear path to obtaining one
