Senior Ambulatory Medical Coder

Job Summary

To support accurate coding practices, the full-time Senior Ambulatory Medical Coder will work remotely to determine CPT and ICD-10 Edits for Professional Coding Services, ensuring compliance with coding policies and providing documentation feedback to physicians.

Key responsibilities:

• Identify and assign appropriate CPT and ICD-10 Edits for Professional Services according to official coding guidelines
• Analyze and correct CCI Edits and Medical Necessity accounts while maintaining ethical coding standards
• Provide documentation feedback to providers and maintain up-to-date coding knowledge through ongoing education

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Professional coder certification from AHIMA and/or AAPC (e.g., CCA, CCS, CPC)
• 2+ years of Professional/Ambulatory coding experience across various chart types
• 1+ years of experience with LCD, NCD, Medical Necessity, and coding payer denials
• Expert level proficiency in CPT and ICD-10-CM coding
