Senior Analytics Engineer

Job Summary

Owning major data projects in a remote capacity, the full-time Senior Analytics Engineer will design and deliver data models, metrics, and dashboards to enhance reporting and analysis for Airbnb.org, while ensuring high data quality and reliability.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, build, and launch efficient data models and pipelines in collaboration with Data Engineering
• Define and implement metrics and dimensions for Airbnb.org, ensuring clear documentation for consistent use across teams
• Maintain data quality by implementing testing, auditing, and validation processes, and addressing data incidents effectively

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience in analytics engineering or data engineering
• Strong SQL skills with experience optimizing queries on distributed data processing systems
• Proficiency in at least one programming language for data work, such as Python, and familiarity with ETL/orchestration frameworks like Airflow
• Experience in dimensional data modeling and metric definition
• Ability to communicate technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
