Senior Analytics Engineer
Job Summary
Building the modeling layer for advanced analytics, the full-time Senior Analytics Engineer will own the transformation layer using dbt on a new data warehouse, collaborating with finance, compliance, and product teams to create trustworthy models in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Own the transformation layer, including dimensional models, tests, and documentation
- Turn business questions into durable models, establishing patterns for the team
- Monitor built models, resolving issues proactively before stakeholders notice
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or analytics roles with substantial modeling ownership
- Strong analytical SQL skills, including complex joins and performance-aware queries
- Fluency in data modeling and dimensional modeling
- Experience with transformation frameworks, preferably dbt
- Familiarity with cloud data warehouses such as Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery
