Job Summary
To enhance data capabilities and analytics at scale, the full-time Senior Analytics Engineer will build trusted data models, develop LookML views, and implement modernization efforts in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Build reusable analytical models and design dbt models and BigQuery datasets representing core business concepts
- Develop shared semantics and self-service analytics by maintaining LookML views and dashboards, ensuring consistent business logic
- Own data correctness and operational quality through automated testing, investigating discrepancies, and optimizing SQL performance
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a related technical role
- Advanced SQL skills and substantial hands-on experience with dbt, including modular transformations and testing
- Experience developing LookML views, Explores, dimensions, and measures
- Proficiency with BigQuery or a comparable cloud data warehouse, including query optimization
- Strong software engineering practices for data work, including version control and automated testing
