Job Summary
Supporting a major AML and sanctions-screening modernization initiative, the fully remote Senior API Engineer will design and build secure enterprise APIs and integrations, focusing on sanctions screening and automated alert decisioning over a 13-month contract.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop secure APIs and integrations for sanctions screening and real-time payment processing
- Implement and manage deployments using OpenShift/Kubernetes, ensuring API security and enterprise connectivity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance AML technology solutions and support modernization efforts
Required qualifications
- Hands-on experience in AML/Anti-Money Laundering technology
- Strong REST API design and development experience, particularly with Java/Spring Boot
- Proficiency in OpenShift/Kubernetes deployment and API security protocols such as OAuth2 and mTLS
- Experience with enterprise integration tools like Kafka and/or MQ
- Background in financial services or banking, with a focus on sanctions-screening applications
