Senior Application Engineer
Job Summary
To support the development and expansion of Ascender Pro and other internal applications, the remote Senior Application Engineer will take ownership of both frontend and backend engineering work, focusing on building and shipping features using Python and React/TypeScript.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain application features utilizing Python for backend and React/TypeScript for frontend
- Collaborate with the engineering team to deliver production-quality code and participate in architecture decisions
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the full stack while supporting additional internal engineering initiatives as needed
Required qualifications
- 6-8+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong proficiency in Python for backend development and hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, and JavaScript
- Experience with or willingness to work in Go
- Practical experience using AI-assisted coding tools with critical thinking skills to validate AI-generated output
- Comfort working across the full stack, with an emphasis on backend systems
