Senior Application Security Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Application Security Engineer will hands-on remediate application security issues, deploy and configure SAST and SCA tooling, and collaborate with engineering teams to drive security findings to closure.
Key responsibilities:
- Remediate application security findings hands-on by reading code, writing fixes, and opening pull requests
- Deploy, configure, and tune SAST and SCA tooling in CI/CD pipelines and repositories
- Triage findings from SAST, SCA, and penetration tests, prioritizing them and driving them to closure with engineering teams
Required qualifications:
- Software development background in Python and Go, with experience writing production code
- Hands-on application security experience, particularly in vulnerability remediation (e.g., OWASP Top 10)
- Direct experience deploying and operating SAST and SCA tools in CI/CD environments
- Ability to communicate findings in plain language to developers
- Availability during US business hours
