Senior Application Security Engineer
Job Summary
To enhance the security framework, the full-time remote Senior Application Security Engineer will lead the development and implementation of application security protocols throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) while collaborating with engineering teams and performing hands-on security testing of web applications and APIs.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of application security protocols throughout the SDLC
- Partner with engineering teams to integrate security into architecture, design, and deployment processes
- Perform hands-on security testing of web applications, APIs, and cloud-native services
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in application, product, or software security
- Strong understanding of application security vulnerabilities and attack techniques, including OWASP Top 10
- Experience with manual security testing of modern web applications and APIs
- Proficiency in integrating application security tools into CI/CD workflows
- Expertise in cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
