Senior Application Security Engineer
Job Summary
To strengthen the secure software development lifecycle and reduce application risk, the remote Senior Application Security Engineer will manage application security reviews, threat modeling, and hands-on remediation while collaborating cross-functionally with engineering and product teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously improve the secure software development lifecycle and perform application security reviews and threat modeling for high-impact features
- Drive vulnerability management processes, ensuring findings are validated, prioritized, and tracked through remediation and verification
- Configure and enhance AppSec tooling and automation, leveraging AI to scale security processes effectively
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering or application security experience in modern SaaS environments
- Strong software development skills, with proficiency in Ruby and familiarity with Python or similar scripting languages
- Deep understanding of common application security issues, secure design, and vulnerability management
- Experience with penetration testing, deep code review, and exploit-oriented validation
- Familiarity with AI-assisted tools and securing AI-powered systems or features
