Senior Application Support Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Application Support Engineer will perform high-level operational support for complex application cloud systems, develop technical solutions, and ensure compliance with security policies while managing system outages and user support.
Key responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day operational support of application cloud systems and resolve system outages
- Document issues and communicate with users and management regarding system status and solutions
- Maintain computing infrastructure and implement continuous improvement methodologies
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- Strong proficiency in AWS and/or Azure Cloud services, Linux/Unix, and Windows operating systems
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
- U.S. Citizenship required and ability to qualify for a Public Trust security clearance
