Senior Application Support Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Application/Infrastructure Support Engineer will perform high-level operational support of complex application cloud systems, develop solutions for technical problems, and ensure compliance with security policies while managing system performance and reliability.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day operational support and maintenance for cloud-based application systems
- Detect, document, and resolve system outages, ensuring rapid recovery and minimal downtime
- Communicate effectively with users and senior management regarding system statuses and issues
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Proficiency in AWS and/or Azure Cloud services, including S3 and CloudWatch
- Strong skills in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
