Senior Application Support Engineer
Job Summary
To support Veterans Affairs, the full-time Senior Application Support Engineer will perform high-level operational support of complex application cloud systems, develop solutions for technical issues, and ensure compliance with security policies while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day operational support and maintenance of application cloud systems
- Detect, isolate, document, and resolve system outages, ensuring rapid recovery of operations
- Communicate with users and senior management regarding the status of key problems and solutions
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure Cloud, including services like S3 and CloudWatch
- Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
